Private Community Tour of Masindi
Enjoy a guided community tour of Masindi - a small town surrounded by numerous tour attractions. This tour brings you closer to the indigenous people and allows you to witness life in a typical community in rural Uganda. Rent a Bike at Murchison Backpackers

Rent a bicycle here and reserve the day you would like to have it. Pick up your bicycle before 11 am along with a valid ID as a deposit. We will sort you out with a helmet and a map. If you wish to rent a bike just for a couple of hours, simply stop by our reception.
Bed and Birding
You are in for a treat, as our guests report sighting numerous beautiful birds hoping around trees surrounding our property. The FREE tour starts right at our doorstep and you can observe and take photographs of birds in their natural environment, either when it is raining or during sunny moments. More so you can easily drive to the Royal Mile of Budongo Forest- a popular birding and butterfly hotspot. Request at our front desk.
Learn to Make the Ugandan Rolex
Rolex is a much loved street food of Uganda that is typically made by rolling an omlette made with onions, tomatoes, cabbage, etc, into a chapati. This single-portion dish is quick to prepare, and can be eaten at any time of the day, from breakfast to lunch, supper or just as a snack. Our staff can make this easily and think it would be a great skill to bring back home from your trip to Uganda. Book a class at the front desk before 11:00am and we'll be excited to teach you!
