Getting Here
Murchison Backpackers is located along Masindi – Kampala Road, next to Kabalega Resort en-route Murchison Falls National Park. You may follow our Google map pin below by clicking the map, followed by the ‘Directions’ button or use the instructions below:
To reach us, you can travel by local taxi, boda-boda, or preferably Uber to the Link Bus terminal in downtown Kampala. From there, board a Link Bus headed towards Masindi. Alight at either Kabalega Resort (en route) or your final destination – the Link Bus stop/office in Masindi. Upon arrival, please contact us to organize your pickup or alternatively, hop on a boda-boda (motorcycle) for a quick 10-minute ride to “Backpackers.”
Take the Kampala-Gulu Highway and drive for approximately 2 hours and take a left turn at the Kafu Bridge Junction (T-junction with food vendors). Drive down from Kafu to Masindi for about 40 minutes and turn left when you see the Murchison Backpackers & Campsite sign post just before you arrive at Masindi town.
Find your Google Maps App on your mobile device and type Murchison Backpackers in your search bar. Tap the red pin showing our location for more details and once again tap the directions button. This shall create a driving route to our destination that you should follow straight to our main entrance.
