After an early breakfast, our trained guide will pick you up from the hostel and brief you about the Safari by 7:00am. After a 45 minute gentle drive, you will start your day tracking the Southern White Rhinos at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. 

The Rhinos at this Sanctuary have been re-introduced to Uganda after years of being extinct due to poaching, however, the current Rhinos at Ziwa are not the original Black Rhinos previously found in Northern Uganda.

Return to Masindi for lunch then continue on to the rushing waters of the Nile forced through a 7-meter narrow gorge forming the famous Murchison Falls. Enjoy spectacular views, experience the cooling sensation of the gentle spray and listen to the crashing of the water as you make your way down to the bottom of falls.

If you enjoy history, you may be interested to learn that you are following in the footsteps of Winston Churchill and the explorer Samuel Baker, who also explored the area around the waterfall. The 1951 film ‘The African Queen’ starring Humphrey Bogart and Katharine Hepburn, was filmed at Murchison Falls.

After a day full of activity, we leave for an overnight in the park.

Your guide will pick you from the hotel for an early Game Drive exploring the rest of Murchison Falls National Park. The Park has different tracks where you are able to drive and enjoy both the vegetation and the variety of animals and species.

You shall enjoy game viewing in our custom pop-up Safari van where you will be able to capture your favorite moments in pictures of Giraffes as they move through the grasslands, Buffaloes, Jacksons Hartebeests, Uganda Kobs, Lions, herds of Buffaloes, Waterbucks,  Warthogs and so much more.

In the afternoon take the famed boat Safari on River Nile from where you shall watch different animals along the shore and continue to about ten meters from the bottom of Murchison falls – also known as ‘Devils cauldron”. This 2 hour boat journey is a great way to spend the afternoon enjoying the Victoria Nile and the several Hippos and Crocodiles.

Thereafter, you shall take a gentle ride back to Masindi to our hostel.
